The bingo industry is always full of surprises, especially when big-time players and high-class operators like Cozy Games Limited are at the heart of events. The long-standing software provider of an exciting bingo network and advanced gaming technology has been purchased by rival company, GVC Holdings, owner of ElectraWorks Limited.
Some of the company’s most prominent brands like Becky’s Bingo, Plush Bingo and Swag Bingo are now under new ownership, yet still licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. The sudden purchase is probably deeply connected to a recent change of regulations and taxation guidelines.
Only two months after withdrawal limit adjustments, which enabled all players to deposit £5 instead of £10 or even £20 on Cozy sites, the company made a sudden transition change and sold its lucrative brands to GVC with the exception of two networks: Best Bingo and Live Bingo Network. However, familiar sites like Buddha, Santa’s Bingo and Payday have already been exposed to a range of changes which should result in the brand’s increased popularity.
Regular players are going to witness major differences on the network, although no indications have yet to be announced. Members are asked to frequently check their inbox regarding modifications in Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, every Cozy domain now appears as ElectraWorks Limited licensee, which confirms the recent purchase.
GVC features four main product categories (Casino, Poker, Bingo and Sports) with a vast number of brands. One of its most profitable subsidiaries, ElectraWorks Limited, runs its operational activities from Gibraltar, covering a team of over a hundred individuals, who specialize in bookmaking, risk management and customer support.
